The ship sails towards the IJsselmeer with the flag at half-mast. You will have the opportunity to say your goodbyes in a personal way, with final words and music. After this you can scatter the ashes over the  water yourself, or gently lower them into the waves in a soluble urn. You can also leave flowers for your loved one, as a final greeting.

After this, the ship sails around the scattering location for one last lap. As a final greeting we sound the ship’s bell. The flag is then raised to full-mast, and the ship returns to port.

If desired, the scattering ceremony can be combined with a sailing trip, lunch, or drinks and snacks.

Funereal statement
You can opt to receive a maritime map with an official funereal statement about the scattering of the ashes. This shows the position of the ship, and the date and time of the scattering.
