Interior of the ship

The Catharina van Mijdrecht was completely renovated in 1985. A lot of attention was paid to the original appearance of the ship. Lots of lacquered wood and nautical details completed the interior. Much of this original appearance has been preserved to this day. The ship really exudes that authentic atmosphere. However, she also has a modern side. There is a charming open galley with an original five-burner gas stove and electrical oven. And, of course: a beer tap, a spacious fridge and a separate wine cooler.

Spacious and cozy

The day room interior is spacious and cozy, so that even large groups can dine comfortably. There are also various bluetooth devices for playing music on board, plus a 37-inch LED TV with DVD/Blu-ray player. Plenty of opportunities to relax! For training sessions or meetings, flip charts, whiteboard, projection screen or an internet connection can be arranged on request. On colder days you don’t have to keep your coat on inside; the ship has central heating.

Sleeping on board

You can sleep comfortably on board the Catharina van Mijdrecht; the Clawa star system awarded her three stars for comfort. The beds are at least 70 cm wide, 2 meters long, and equipped with new, comfortable mattresses and a reading light.
Sleeping accommodations consist of 18 beds in 8 rooms: 7 double rooms and 1 quadruple room. An additional quadruple room is available on request. In special cases, three more people can sleep on the benches in the day room.
Is your party larger than 18 people? No problem! We also sail in tandem with other ships. After a well-spent day we can anchor together for a barbecue on board, or for a sporting activity!

Facilities

There are two toilets on the ship, one of which is in the spacious bathroom. There is a hot shower on board, washing basins in all cabins, and enough drinking water for several days.

Accessibility

Unfortunately, the ship is not wheelchair accessible. It is possible to board the ship with a walker, but personal guidance is required. We regret that we cannot encourage people who are completely dependent on their walker to come on board.
