The Catharina van Mijdrecht is a traditional sailing ship with character. This is not a cruise – you’re part of the crew. You’ll help hoist the sails, steer the ship and learn the basics of navigation together.

The crew is relaxed, experienced, and ensures that everyone can participate—even if you’ve never sailed before. Active during the day, chilling in the evening.

On Terschelling, there’s no rush. Enjoy a full day to explore the island. Rent a bike and ride through dunes, forests, and polders. Chill on the endless beaches, take a dip in the sea, or relax on the sand. Visit charming villages like West-Terschelling and Midsland, wander through quaint streets, and end up at a cozy café with views of the harbor or sea.

✔ Drying Out & Seal Watching 🦭🌊
One of the most unique experiences of this sailing holiday: drying out in the Wadden Sea. At low tide, the ship literally rests on a sandbank. You step off and walk on the seafloor—right in the Wadden Sea. How often does that happen? From the ship, there’s a great chance to spot seals lounging on the flats or curiously swimming around the boat.
