About us
“De Rode Vos” is the company name belonging to the sailing vessel “Catharina van Mijdrecht”, both are the property of Jos Rodewijk, registered at Wagenweg 9, 1145PW Katwoude, The Netherlands.
De Rode Vos offers sailing trips for individuals, companies and institutions.

Personal data that are processed by us
De Rode Vos can process your personal data because you have used the services of De Rode Vos and/or because you provided these data when filling out a contact/quote form on our website.
De Rode Vos may process the following personal data:
– First and last name
– Company name
– Address details
– Phone number
– E-mail address
– IP address

Why De Rode Vos needs your data

1. Issue a quotation
De Rode Vos uses your data to be able to contact you (by telephone and / or by e-mail) if you requested it. Your data will not be kept for more than one year if no agreement is reached. Your information will not be shared with third parties, unless at your own request.

2. Sign a contract
De Rode Vos uses your data in the context of executing a contract for a sailing trip, as concluded with you. The contract is kept for up to 10 years for possible audits by the tax authorities. De Rode Vos will only provide your personal information to third parties if necessary for the implementation of the contract, or to comply with a legal obligation.

3. Passenger list
De Rode Vos asks for the personal details of all passengers to comply with a legal obligation to disclose these details in the event of a calamity. The passenger list is destroyed after the sailing trip. De Rode Vos will only provide this passenger list to aid workers and/or authorities, and only in case of emergency.

4. Diet
De Rode Vos processes diet data to comply with the personal preferences of the passengers. These data are anonymous and will not be stored.

5. Age
De Rode Vos processes age data to provide a suitable quotation, and/or provide the necessary children’s life jackets. These data are anonymous and will not be stored.

6. Newsletters
De Rode Vos will use your e-mail address to keep you informed about our activities. Your e-mail address will be kept for an indefinite period of time; you can unsubscribe at any time if you no longer want to receive our newsletter. Your e-mail address will not be shared with any third party.

Data storage
Your e-mail correspondence and/or agreement with De Rode Vos is stored on a single computer which is protected by a username and password. A back-up is stored at our Dropbox account, which is also protected by a username and password. A paper copy of the contract will be sent to our accountant.

Website visits
Your visit to our website is secured by an SSL certificate. This means that your connection to the De Rode Vos/Catharina van Mijdrecht website is private. You can recognize this protection by the green lock icon preceding the URL.

Website visits inventory
The De Rode Vos website tracks general visiting data, including the IP address of your computer, the time of extraction and the data that your browser sends. These data are used for visits- and clicking behaviour analysis. The Red Fox will use this information to improve the functioning of the website. These data are processed anonymously as much as possible, and will not be provided to third parties.

Google Analytics
De Rode Vos uses Google Analytics to track how users use the website and to monitor the efficacy of our Adwords ads on Google search result pages. Google uses this information to keep track of how our website is used, to provide reports about the website to us and to provide its advertisers with information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. De Rode Vos has not permitted Google to use the analytics information obtained via de Rode Vos for other Google services.

View, correct, or remove data
If you do not feel comfortable about the use of your data by de Rode Vos, please feel free to contact us. You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can send a request for access, correction or removal to info@catharinavanmijdrecht.nl. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
