Interior of the ship
Authentic atmosphere
The original interior from 1985 has largely been preserved and has an authentic atmosphere, with lots of varnished wood and nautical details. In our modern yet charming open galley with an original five burner stove and oven, a large meal can easily be prepared for the many hungry sailors during or after the trip. There is also a beer tap, a large refrigerator and a separate wine fridge.
Spacious and cosy
The day room is spacious yet cosy, and can seat up to thirty people comfortably for dinner. A CD player with iPod connection and a 37 “LED TV with DVD/Blu-ray player are pavailable. For meetings or training sessions you can request a flipchart, whiteboard, viewscreen and Internet access. The ship is equipped with central heating.
Overnight stay on board
Sleeping accommodations on board the Catharina meet standard comfort requirements; we carry three stars according to the Clawa star system, with light, power, running water and a porthole which can be opened in every cabin. There are eighteen comfortable 70-80 cm (28-32″) wide beds (most are 2m long) with reading lights in eight cabins; 7 doubles and one family room. Don’t worry if your party is bigger: we are experts at sailing together in a convoy with other ships, be it calmly cruising along or taking part in an exciting mini regatta, and anchoring together in the evening for a barbecue on board.
Sanitary facilities
There are two toilets on board, one of which in a spacious bathroom which also includes a wash basin and a hot shower. There are washbasins in all cabins and enough drinking water for a few days.
