It doesn’t get any more romantic than this: tie the knot on a beautiful sailing ship! The Catharina van Mijdrecht is an official wedding location of the municipality of  Waterland. A marriage officiant from the municipality will come aboard to take care of the ceremonies: these can take place on the Markermeer or in the shelter of a picturesque harbour like Monnickendam or Marken. And even if you’d rather be ashore for the ceremonial part, you can still have your reception or bachelor(ette) party aboard with us.

The romantic and intimate atmosphere aboard our authenticDutch sailing ship will make for an unforgettable day, catered entirely to your wishes. There are many possibilities for personalizing and “nautifying” your special day, e.g. the guests can toast you with Skipper bitter or champagne, and after cutting the cake there is time for a sailing trip on the IJsselmeer.
